On June 26, the first hoisting operation of the 40-meter long-span overhead travelling crane in the finished product warehouse of the Shanxi Jingang ESP silicon steel project contracted by MCC Tianguang was completed. The hoisting process was safe, stable and accurately positioned, marking the full launch of equipment installation for the project.

Located in Jincheng, Shanxi Province, the project is a key local initiative for hydrogen metallurgy and high-end new materials. It adopts the advanced ESP endless thin slab casting and rolling technology, with construction covering the ESP silicon steel production line and supporting facilities. Upon completion, the project will fill the local gap in high-end silicon steel products, build a green intelligent production line featuring short technological processes and low carbon emissions, and drive the upgrading of the regional new materials industry.

The 40-meter overhead travelling crane hoisted this time falls under a high-risk special construction sub-project, characterized by high construction difficulty and stringent technical standards. The project team conducted preliminary plan reviews and comprehensive safety hazard inspections, implemented rigorous construction management and control, and successfully overcame the challenges of large-span equipment installation.
Going forward, the project team will strictly guarantee construction safety and quality, steadily advance subsequent equipment delivery, installation and commissioning, strive for the early completion and commissioning of the project, and fuel the green transformation of the regional iron and steel industry.
